Feeding Guide

Changing over to Wolfworthy

It is really important that any changes to your dog's diet are introduced gradually to ensure that they don't suffer from upset tummies.  This is especially important when you first start to feed a high protein diet like Wolfworthy.  Your dog may not be used to having such a nutrient-rich diet.  We recommend the following change cut-over schedule:

Day 1: 75% current food, 25% Wolfworthy
Day 2: 75% current food, 25% Wolfworthy
Day 3: 50% current food, 50% Wolfworthy
Day 4: 50% current food, 50% Wolfworthy
Day 5: 25% current food, 75% Wolfworthy
Day 6: 25% current food, 75% Wolfworthy
Day 7: 100% Wolfworthy

Tips for Successful Feeding

Our food is delicious and your dog will love it. That said, feeding the correct amount is important. The guidelines below show the range your dog should fall into. Start feeding the amount at the lower end of the range and carefully weigh each meal (a digital scale is best). Our food is very nutrient dense and you may find the amount you feed looks less than other standard dog foods. Do not be tempted to overfeed your dog. This will cause their stools to become too soft as their digestive system will not have enough time to fully digest the food. If output is loose simply reduce the amount you are feeding by 25% for a few days. Stools should then firm up, if you need any advice on this please contact Nicola or Del by email support@wolfworthy.co.uk.  We always love to hear from our customers.
